Jhansi Mahotsav commenced under the leadership of then District Magistrate Sri Anil Kumar Gupta. It started on 22nd March 1993 in Jhansi stadium. Since then Jhansi Mahotsav has been continuously part of the lives of people of Jhansi. 

The immense success of Jhansi can be measured from the number of locations changed to accommodate  a larger mass every passing year. 

In 2020 Jhansi Mahotsav was organised after a gap of five years after 2014. This organisation was then interrupted due to COVID 19 pandemic. So this is second consecutive year this program is happening.

This year Jhansi Mahotsav is planned to begin on 21 December 2023. So there is a big chance that you will be able to enjoy Christmas and New Year Eve with Jhansi Mahotsav.
