NOIDA: A businessman involved in the real estate business was cheated of Rs 35 lakh by three individuals who promised to provide him with a Rs 15 crore loan. The victim has filed a report at the Sahibabad police station, naming three individuals. Rajendra, a resident of Rajendra Nagar, has filed a report against Sultan Raja Meena and Muthu Nachiyar, who reside in Tamil Nadu. According to the victim, he is involved in property construction and needed funds to expand his business. During this time, he came across a post on Facebook regarding financing.Upon contacting them, Sultan, who resides in Tamil Nadu, called him there and arranged meetings with two other individuals. After discussions, it was agreed that he was willing to provide a Rs 15 crore loan, and for this, he needed 5 lakhs as security money and an advance payment of 6 months interest. The victim alleges that when he arrived with the documents, they presented him with three demand drafts, each worth Rs 5 crore, in the name of the firm.(This story was originally published in Navbharat Times)
