Vivek Agnihotri said that he has nothing to do with the lives of Alia Bhatt and Kangana Ranaut and added that he cannot even think of casting them together.
Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who recently helmed the film The Vaccine War, has opened up about casting Alia Bhatt and Kangana Rananut in a film together. The director said that he cannot even think of doing this and added that he has nothing to do with their lives.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Vivek was asked, “Can Vivek Agnihotri get Alia and Kangana to do a film together?” The filmmaker replied, “If I start thinking like this, I will die. Who thinks like this and who can even think like this? Alia Bhatt won the National Award, she is an actor of India, who was honoured by the Government of India. Even I got a National Award that time. When Kangana won the National Award, I congratulated her too.”
Vivek was all praise for Kangana and recalled the time he met Alia at an awards ceremony. He said, “I love the way she came and met me.” Talking about casting them both, Vivek said, “I bring two people together? What do I have to do with their lives? I don’t have any such hobbies. I don’t have any emotional connection towards anyone. I am the most detached person.”
Recently, there were reports that Kangana took a jab at Alia and Ranbir, possibly about their marriage, on Instagram stories. However, Kangana has also praised Alia for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The Vaccine War, starring Nana Patekar was released in theatres on September 28. The film tanked at the box office and minted Rs 85 lakhs on the opening day. According to Sacnilk, the four day collection of the film stands at Rs 5.75 crores.
