The story of Vijay Mallya’s notorious scams and his ultimate downfall is not unknown to the world. The man once known as the “King of Good Times” was completely pitted into the darkness and lost it all. The liquor scion of United Breweries Group was declared a bank defaulter for not being able to pay back his dues for Kingfisher Airlines, ultimately leading to him being a fugitive businessman with a Rs 2,000 crore fine and a four-month prison term by the Supreme Court of India in July 2022. But his tarnished reputation not only affected him but also his immediate family. His son, Sidhartha Mallya, was an aspiring actor, who tried to create his own niche in the Indian film industry but could not reach the pinnacle.

Sidhartha Mallya’s early life

Sidhartha Mallya was born to Vijay Mallya and Samira Tyabjee Mallya in 1987 in Los Angeles, California. He spent most of his childhood in England, where the family had moved after his birth. Sidhartha was sent to boarding school at Papplewick School in Ascot when he was 15 years old. After that, he attended Wellington College in Berkshire, where he earned his GCSEs and A Levels. After that, he went to Queen Mary University of London and graduated with a bachelor’s in business management and was also a part of the university’s hockey team.
