Electricity consumers now have the convenience of making partial payments for their monthly bills right at their doorstep. Electricity companies are in the process of collaborating with agencies for spot billing, allowing these agencies to collect partial payments from consumers. Currently, the option to pay the entire bill through meter readers is available.

In Uttar Pradesh (UP), the ability for consumers to make partial payments on their electricity bills was previously limited to departmental billing counters and online platforms.

According to Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal, the Chairman of the Power Corporation, soon every payment method, including counters and online payments, will provide the flexibility of partial payments.
