Jhansi | Deputy Director of Agriculture Department said in a conversation that the targets for 2023-24 allocation of Solar Pump has been received from the state government. Readers should be aware that PM KUSUM yojna is a flagship scheme of the central government to decrease the dependency on traditional energy sources while ensuring energy security.
Diesel pumps which are widely used in the area for irrigation will be replaced by the solar pumps. All the beneficiaries who will receive the solar set will be removed from the electricity line connection.
Booking will continue till 20 January 2024 for Jhansi district but it is advised to register as soon as possible as the allocation will be based on “first come first serve” . Department will book 110 percent of the target received.
For getting the benefits under this yojna the farmer will have to register on the departmental website. This registration is mandatory.

Registering person will have to pay Rs 5000 as token money. Farmer will have to pay the rest of farmers' share by generating challan from the portal within one week on confirmation of the token. Farmers can deposit this amount in the nearest Indian bank branch or pay online. If in any case the farmer fails to pay the money the token money will be lapsed.
Farmers need to have a 6 inches boring for 3 HP solar pump. Or He needs to have a 8 inches boring for 7.5 HP or 10 HP solar pump. Beneficiary should own the boring.
