The company has pitched the government to install a solar power plant in this area. Once the MoU is signed, the work on setting a plant can begin in no time.

Jhansi has the perfect climate for harnessing solar energy. The scorching sun and the hot weather here make it the one of the most ideal places in the country for solar power generation. The sun’s radiation here is amongst highest in the country. That’s why companies are eager to establish solar power plants here.

Recently, Greenko Private Limited proposed to the government to set up a solar power plant here. The company will invest a massive 70 thousand crore rupees in this project. After the MoU is signed, the company will kick off the work of setting up the plant. The company will not buy land from the villagers, but will lease it.

These plants are also being set up -

• The company Isha Rez is setting up a 15 megawatt solar power plant in Asta village of Garautha. For this, an investment of 150 crore rupees is being made here.
• The company Forth Partner is building a 100 megawatt solar power plant in Babina. The work of setting up the plant is being started with an investment of 1200 crore rupees on 300 acres of land.
• The company M Plus Solar is building a 50 megawatt solar plant on 150 acres of land with a cost of 300 crore rupees.
• Tusco Limited is building a 600 megawatt solar plant on 350 acres of land in Garautha tehsil. For this, the company is investing 3430 crore rupees.
• Ensource Energy is installing a solar power plant on 150 acres of land with a cost of 600 crore rupees.
