Narendra Modi inaugurated four new Vande Bharat trains, Jhansi gets two.

Jhansi Smart City | In furtherance of the railway connectivity, Uttar Pradesh has welcomed four additional Vande Bharat Express trains. The inauguration, conducted virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, marked the extension of the Gorakhpur-Lucknow route up to Prayagraj.

Here are the details of the newly introduced Vande Bharat Express services:

  1. Patna Junction to Gomtinagar (22345/22346):
  • This route will cover six stations: Ara, Buxar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn, Varanasi Jn, and Ayodhya Dham Jn.
  • Operating six days a week (excluding Fridays), the train departs from Patna at 6:05 am and arrives at Gomtinagar station by 2:30 pm. On the return journey, it leaves Gomtinagar at 3:20 pm, reaching Patna by 11:45 pm.
  1. Ranchi Junction to Varanasi Junction (20887/20888):
  • Operating six days a week (excluding Thursdays), this route departs from Ranchi at 5:10 am and reaches Varanasi by 1:00 pm.
  1. Lucknow Junction to Dehradun (22547/22548):
  • The train operates six days a week (excluding Mondays).
  • Departure from Hazrat Nizamuddin is at 6:00 am, with arrival in Khajuraho at 2:20 pm.
  1. Hazrat Nizamuddin to Khajuraho Junction (22470/22469):
  • Stops include Agra Cantt, Gwalior Junction, Jhansi Junction, Lalitpur Junction, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur.
  • The train operates six days a week (excluding Mondays), departing from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 6:00 am and reaching Khajuraho at 2:20 pm.

Jhansi gets its second Vande Bharat

Prime Minister Modi virtually flagged off the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express, which will also halt at Agra Cantt railway station, providing added convenience for tourists visiting the iconic Taj Mahal. Regular operations commence from March 15, with stops at Gwalior, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, and other stations.

It is the second Vande Bharat after Rani Kamalapati - Hazrat Nizamuddin that has a halt in Jhansi.
