Jhansi |  Many new development projects will start in 16 cities of the state including Jhansi and Kanpur. These include river front, complete street, big parks, water bodies and development of lakes. 2218.74 crore rupees will be spent on their development. The state government has demanded a budget from the center for these projects. The center has agreed to release the budget soon.

 

The scheme for special assistance to states for capital investment is being run by the central government. In this scheme, the central government has kept a budget of 15 thousand crore rupees. The state government has demanded 2218.74 crore rupees from this budget for the development of 16 cities of the state. The letter was sent to the center for this budget on 21 November 2023. The center has said to release the budget soon. Seeing this, the housing department has instructed the vice-presidents of the development authorities of 16 cities with a population of five lakh in the state to prepare development projects.
