Jhansi | The Yogi government is organizing various programs to encourage and provide a platform to the handloom weavers. In this sequence, the Uttar Pradesh Weaver Welfare Fund, Directorate of Handloom and Textile Industry Uttar Pradesh Kanpur will organize a special handloom expo at Urban Haat Jhansi from 06 to 19 February.

Sponsored by the Development Commissioner Handloom Textile Ministry Government of India New Delhi, this exhibition will showcase and sell the excellent products of the weavers of the country and the state.

Dr. Uttirna Veer Singh of Jhansi and Chitrakoot Dham Mandal told that under the Jhansi circle we have the handloom weavers of the districts Jhansi, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba and Lalitpur. Staff have been directed to resolve the problems arising in the registration under the Handloom Mark Scheme and Handloom Mark Mobile App.

Also, the Assistant Director Textile Committee Regional Office Kanpur has been coordinated and the Textile Committee has been provided with 01 stall in this expo to complete the proceedings related to registration on spot.

Handloom weavers are being made aware

The handloom weavers of Jhansi and Chitrakoot Mandals are being motivated to apply and avail the benefits of the Handloom Mark Registration Scheme and Handloom Mark Mobile App Scheme by getting all the information related to this expo.
