Jhansi | The land acquisition process for the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) has begun with Sarmau, one of the identified villages. The final preparations were made on Thursday. The registration department team camped in the village of Sarmau throughout the day.
A temporary sub registrar office was established in the village panchayat building to facilitate the land deeds. 14,225 hectares of land from 33 villages of Jhansi Sadar Tehsil are being acquired for BIDA. The administration is working swiftly to complete the formalities.
Registration will be first done in Sarmau
The first priority is to acquire the land of the village Sarmau. Land of 765 plots numbers is to be acquired in Sarmau, involving 3168 co-account holders and 800 farmers. The villagers will receive a compensation of Rs 616 crore for the land. In addition, Rs 4.18 crore for assets and Rs 64.67 lakh for trees will be paid as compensation.
The villagers will not have to visit the sub registrar office for the deeds. Instead, a temporary sub registrar office was set up in the panchayat building of the village Sarmau on Thursday. A large number of villagers gathered there all day.

65 objections received from Ambavay
After Sarmau, the next target is to acquire the land of the village Ambavay for BIDA. Objections were invited on the marked land there. 65 objections were received.
A team has been formed to address them, comprising representatives of Jal Nigam, Forest Department, Minor Irrigation Department and Public Works Department, led by Naib Tehsildar Mukesh Kumar. On Thursday, Jal Nigam’s Assistant Engineer Mukesh Kumar, Forest Ranger PS Bhadauria stayed in the village. During this, the objections related to the forest department and PWD were resolved.
The objections will be resolved for two more days. The villagers can also register their objection in the auditorium of Sadar Tehsil and the mobile number 7905739459 of Lekhpal Amit Kumar.
Physical Stamp papers will be used in the registration
Paper stamp to be used for deeds The land deeds for BIDA will be done on paper stamp, not on e-stamp. For this, stamps are being procured from the treasury. It is noteworthy that paper stamps worth about Rs 80 crore are stored in the treasury. Due to the use of e-stamps, paper stamps are not being utilized. In such a situation, paper stamps will be used in the deeds of BIDA. If required, paper stamps will also be ordered from Kanpur. Earlier, the government had instructed to use paper stamp paper in government deeds.
