Jhansi plans to establish two additional private industrial areas

Feb 12, 2024

Government is moving fast with the establishment of private industrial parks in this region. The land for both areas has already been designated. These developments are expected to create employment opportunities for the local population.

One of these will be located near the Jhansi-Shivpuri highway, covering 11 acres of land. The second private industrial area, spanning 44.68 acres, will be built in Babina near the Jhansi-Lalitpur highway. The Industries Department is actively involved in the establishment of these private industrial parks, which will be developed on privately owned land. The government will provide loans at concessional interest rates to support their basic development. Once these industrial areas are fully developed, plots will be allocated for industrial units.

Furthermore, the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony is scheduled to take place in Lucknow on February 19. This event marks the commencement of setting up new industrial units across the state. A similar ceremony will also be held at the Deen Dayal Auditorium in Jhansi on the same day. In Lucknow, work will begin for units investing more than ten crores, while smaller investments will be celebrated during the ceremony in Jhansi. Notably, 123 entrepreneurs in Jhansi are gearing up to establish their units, with those investing over Rs 10 crore participating in the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony in Lucknow.
