Jhansi Nearby |The District Magistrate, along with officials, arrived at the airport to oversee the preparations for the upcoming virtual inauguration of Uttar Pradesh's first table-top airport in Devangana Valley, situated in the religious city of Chitrakoot. This inauguration, scheduled for March 10, will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

During the inspection, DM Abhishek Anand provided specific directives to various agencies involved in the preparations. He instructed the executing agency, Rajkiya Nirman Nigam, to arrange separate entries for VIPs and the general public, as well as to ensure adequate parking facilities. Additionally, he tasked the Government Construction Corporation with designing plans for LED setups, sound stages, and barricading, which were to be forwarded to the Chief Development Officer. Moreover, the airport director was instructed to ensure cleanliness and painting of the access roads.

Further instructions included the planting of grass and flowers in the terminal area, the placement of dustbins near the entrance, and the painting of mythological motifs on the airport boundary. Security arrangements, including the deployment of personnel, were to be overseen by the Deputy District Officer. The District Magistrate also ensured that telecommunication arrangements were in place, instructing BSNL to collaborate with RailTel to ensure seamless connectivity for the virtual event.

Moreover, arrangements for ambulances and mobile toilets were directed to be made by the airport director. Key officials such as the Chief Development Officer, Deputy District Officer, Airport Director, Project Manager, and Executive Officers were present during the inspection.

Following the airport inspection, the District Magistrate visited a multipurpose complex housing a 425-seat auditorium being constructed under the Rurban Mission Scheme. He instructed the Rajkiya Nirman Nigam to expedite the completion of stage framing and remaining electrical work for the auditorium, emphasising its importance for hosting VIP cultural programs in the district.
