On Tuesday, a serious accident occurred at the Moth grain market when a speeding tractor collided with a stationary tractor-trailer that was unloading paddy. The impact of the collision was so forceful that it caused significant damage to both vehicles. In the process, one of the workers, Sudhir (32), was trapped under the trailer and sustained serious injuries. The accident has drawn attention to the safety concerns in the area.

The incident took place when Jitendra Rajput, a farmer from Jaisari village in the Dakor police station area of Jalaun district, had arrived at the Moth grain market to sell his paddy. As he was unloading the paddy from his tractor-trailer, a speeding tractor came from the opposite direction and collided head-on with his vehicle. The violent impact not only caused the tractor to sustain damage but also led to the worker, Sudhir, being crushed under the trailer, making the situation critical.

Sudhir, who hails from Alouli village in Bihar’s Khagaria district, was immediately rushed to the Moth Community Health Center (CHC) by the people present at the scene. The medical staff provided him with initial treatment, but due to the severity of his injuries, Sudhir was later referred to Jhansi for further medical attention. His condition remains a matter of concern, and the authorities are closely monitoring his progress.

The local police were informed about the incident by the witnesses, and the Moth police station in-charge, Sarita Mishra, responded promptly. The police seized the tractor involved in the crash, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
