Jhansi Update: Half-Yearly Exams for Students from Class 1 to 8 Commence

The half-yearly exams for classes 1 to 8 started in Jhansi on Monday, covering Parishadi and Composite schools, as well as six Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Schools. Over 1.71 lakh students from 1357 schools are participating in the exams, which aim to assess their educational progress.

The exams are being conducted in two shifts each day, with the first shift from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and the second shift from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. On the first day, students from classes 1 to 5 took their oral exams, while students from classes 6 to 8 had their subject-based exams.

The subjects for the morning shift included Basic Craft, Art, Agriculture, and Home Craft for class 6 to 8 students, while the afternoon shift consisted of exams in Physical Education, Sports, and Scouting. The Basic Education Department is closely monitoring the exams to ensure they are conducted in a peaceful manner.

According to District Basic Education Officer Ranveer Singh, the first day of the exams went smoothly. The exams are scheduled to continue until December 28, with officials ensuring all procedures are followed for a fair examination process.
